Lately, I have been scrolling through pictures of my friends on Facebook: fun pictures on birthday, hangouts, fashion photo shoots. I really feel so jealous (maybe this is not the right use of word).
This comes back to when I was in high school. I was really spoiled back then. I thought I can do whatever I want and I can spend money like I'm from Royalty. Going to movies, shopping, and all those good stuff. Back then I thought that in the future I will remain the same: just go to classes to meet friends and nothing else, big spender, and careless about my future.
Pulling the memories from back then, I often compare it to who I am now. If I still live the same life, I don't think I will get all these opportunities that come right in front of me. Now that I really study to get good grades and succeed, I still hang out with friends in moderation, I learn how to manage my finances better than before, learn how activities that I do and how I spend time can affect me. Over the years, my parents have told me that I have became more mature and independent. I'm glad I do, because when I think of me staying in Jakarta and living the life I used to live... Me and myself would probably be different than now. So I'm very thankful to those people that bring me here to hop on this wonderful adventure and journey.
Yes, I sometimes really want to not study and hang out all the time with friends, be wearing all pretty dresses and not worrying about everything.. But I realize I can always delay those until I succeed, right? Do what I need to do now and work hard.. pick the fruits years ahead! :)
There are many ways to get to the same point. Many people spend their happy times today, but I will wait until tomorrow for the better.

the girl with camera on?
yes! it is me.
I really like taking pictures of people. Although I feel that these past year I have not been that close to Cathy, my camera anymore.
Anyhow, this weekend I have been sparing my time with my camera and take some pictures of my friend, Yaw from Ghana, who is applying for a modelling agency! wooot woot.
And besides photoshoot-ing. This weekend I also got to attend International Student Promoter's (ISP) tailgating event before the first football game this season.
Alright, alright you must be pondering why I don't have a picture of me in the dome, where they play this game at. To tell you the truth, I am not a big football fan. Whether it is the football-soccer, or football-American. Neither. But I have been to one, so at least I can tell people that I have been to football match right? SO instead of going to the game, I went to the tower center study lounge to catch up with my tax and audit class because I have been too laid back this past two weeks.
Without further blabbers, I would like to present you my and cathy's pictures:

First Week of My Senior year!
Nervous.
Exciting.
Exhausting.
Optimistic.
Relaxed. ...
etc.
I have all these feelings this past week. What should I do? This is my last year! I did not know at all that all these four year will go by this fast!
This semester I am taking another 18 credits worth of class: Income Tax, Auditing, Database Management, Information System Management, Computer-Aided Design I, and Apparel Design-Evaluation. I am still adjusting to most of the classes. Even though I have been at UNI for three years, most of the classes are fairly new to me. Tax, especially. I have a hard time understanding all the rules because I have never quite deal with income taxes before.
Exciting.

But! I really think I will enjoy my textiles classes!! I am going to design many stuff using computer softwares and learn how to sew and do knock-off! Yeah I will be so happy! Oh here is my first project on Illustrator for my CAD 1 class! I love it!
So the goal for the year? Work my head off to have over 40 hours everyday. Do everything I want, work harder, be more active, be more positive, know more and more people, and enjoy everything to the max.
Hope you are having the time of your life too!
Love,
Catherine

Well, hello senior year!
I am actually supposed to be doing my homework now. But posting is only taking me 3 minutes, so I will forgive myself. I don't know where are my readers from but I was very happy to see I had 2 comments in my previous post.
Finally I am a senior now~! Well, not really finally. It is actually really hard because I need to think about what am I going to do next.. I need a lot of energy and effort to do so. Wonder why I am not that afraid though, I feel like don't worry cath, you will be fine.
So this semester I am taking another 6 classes(18 credit hours), but the worse challenge is the sun and the weather. I tend to be sleepier during spring semester, just feel really lazy. And I have 8 am class. The good thing is: I enjoy my 8 am class! :)
Even though it is only the second week of school, hey I have done some things!!!! :)
1. ISA New Students Reception - I'm glad I can talk to new students about where they are from and I am so happy to know that they are excited to be here!!! One of them also wrote a post about their first week! here is the link to his post -Link to Ranindu's post
4. Catching up! I haven't been so close with my friends last semester. So a couple of my friends went out with me and then told some stories funny or not about our lives~! It was deep :p
5. Snowy day! Class got cancelled yaay! So yesterday the weather wasn't the best.. But I kind of loved it! I played with the snow and took a couple of pictures with my phone.

2. Student Admissions Ambassador's Spring Retreat - Meeting a great big family in the middle of winter. I was so happy. Sometimes I think too negatively: I thought I am just the other one in the group.. I didn't talk a lot in the group because I used to think really over consciously. Then there was one game which we closed eyes and some member will pad our shoulder if we are .... i.e. a role model in SAA, or a best friend. I got some on 'someone I wish I can know better', 'someone I can trust', 'a leader' , and 'someone I admire' . Woow I was really shocked that even though I was quiet, people do care about me. Thanks, SAA..
3. Birthday Surprise! If you don't know my birthday was last december when I went back home for vacation. Apparently my best friends and my brother (including my family in Chicago) planned a birthday surprise for me!! Even though it was late because I was not here, I was so happy. Very happy.. This is one of the best surprises I have got!!! Here are the pictures and the video (they decorated my apartment, too!)
